Optimum No Rinse™ Wash & Shine Version 6, also known as ONR, is the original automotive rinseless wash. Created in 2005 by Optimum chemist and CEO Dr. David Ghodoussi, ONR was designed to wash all types of vehicles faster, more easily, and safely. Its formula has been improved five times over twenty years. Version 6 provides even greater slickness and gloss.

What is ONR?

ONR washes a vehicle without rinsing, a hose, or a pressure washer. An entire vehicle can be cleaned quickly with less than 2 gallons of water, even without access to running water. All you need is a bucket, an Optimum Big Red Sponge or wash mitt, and a microfiber drying towel. ONR is suitable for interior and exterior surfaces.

How is ONR different from other rinseless washes?

Rinseless washes are primarily polymer- or surfactant-based. ONR uses polymers to encapsulate dirt, release it from the sponge or mitt, and deposit it at the bottom of the bucket. Its lubrication then allows the dirt to be safely removed with a drying towel without rinsing. This technology helps prevent scratches, swirls, and marring. ONR leaves only a thin polymer-protection layer that does not build up or interfere with ceramic coatings, waxes, sealants, or PPF.

ONR is suitable for cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, boats, RVs, ATVs, and aircraft.

Can ONR be used inside a vehicle?

Yes. ONR is suitable for leather, vinyl, plastic, carpet, fabric, glass, window tint, infotainment screens, instrument clusters, and more.

Can it be used on ceramic coatings, matte paint, or PPF?

Yes. ONR is compatible with these surfaces and can also be used before applying a ceramic coating, wax, sealant, or PPF.

Other uses

ONR can be used as clay lubricant, quick detailer, waterless wash, interior cleaner, glass cleaner, and general-purpose household cleaner.

Scent

ONR has a mulberry scent that some describe as berry or blueberry.

Directions

1. Add 1 oz of product to 2 gallons of water in a bucket.
2. Soak the Optimum Big Red Sponge in the bucket and wash one section at a time.
3. Dry each section with an Optimum drying towel.
4. If the surface dries before wiping, wash it again and dry it.

Note: Extremely dirty surfaces may require a second wash before drying.
